Golf in Hungary
We have 16 golf courses in Hungary in our golf course database.
Since 1989, golf has been increasingly becoming popular in Hungary. There are seven 18 hole courses and one nine hole course in the country and there are several more golf courses currently under development. In the last four years there has been a huge increase of members, doubling in number there are currently 1000 golf club members in Hungary. Although that may not seem like a lot, it is quality not quantity that is important when considering a golf course and you are sure to get quality in Hungary.
If looking for a particular part of the country to stay in, consider the western part of the country, this is where the majority of the golf courses are located, particularly in Budapest.
Pannonia Golf & Country Club
The golf course is situated in Mariavölgy about 40 minutes from Budapest city center. The land was occupied by the Habsburg family as a weekend retreat around the year 1845. The approach to the course and clubhouse is through a beautiful alley of towering 200 year old sicamore trees.

FORE! Lee Westwood ball ends up in a woman's shirt !!!
Lee Westwood hooked his drive on the 13th hole into a crowd of folks at the Ritz Charlton Golf Course as a part of the Accenture Match Play Championship.
This is maybe not news but where the ball landed is incredible..... The ball somehow made it's way into a woman's shirt as seen in the video below.
What would have been funnier is if the lady would have taken a run towards the green and dropped the ball there or even dropped it in the hole :)
